Healing begins from within when we give ourselves permission to forgive, heal and remember who we truly are.
Hypnosis has been misrepresented in movies, stage shows and media, so it’s important to address some common concerns. Although the client is deeply relaxed, they do not experience a loss of control, in fact, the client does not do anything during a session that they wouldn’t normally do, and clients do not reveal their secrets, will not act against moral, religious or personal values or do anything embarrassing. With that said, it is a deeply personal experience that works best when there is a rapport and trust with the Practitioner prior to the session. If a client has an issue that is affecting their daily lives, but does not discuss it during the pre-session, interview process, then that issue remains a secret and will not be addressed, which is why full disclosure is recommended.
Hypnosis is the most resonant form of communication tailored to each person’s reality, allowing all the answers to life’s most perplexing questions.
Most every being experiences hypnotic states during their daily lives, whether we are drifting off to sleep, waking in the morning, on a long road trip or simply daydreaming. These natural states of consciousness can be focused to our advantage, as with any focused or concentrated effort.
The four brainwave states listed below show how often we are in various states of trance throughout our day. Deeper trance states are in the theta level, which is where Hypnosis Practitioners are most effective using various modalities and techniques to assist clients.
- Beta state (alertness, active thinking, and concentration)
- Alpha state (light hypnosis)
- Theta state (day-dreaming, deep hypnosis, and light sleep)
- Delta state (deep sleep)
Clients are also encouraged to listen to the recording of their session after the event. Many clients feel as if they are just talking in a relaxed state, however, most clients are not as ‘awake’ as they think they are! A recent client wrote the following:
“I’ve listened back to my recording and it is surreal. I do remember all of it, I remember the visuals and remember saying most of it, but I am still not quite sure why I was saying the things I said, I just sort of said guttural words and things, but it was definitely a relaxing and deepening experience while it was happening.”
